– Russia and Belarus will continue to “respond appropriately” to all provocations, including military ones”, along their borders with other nations, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said Tuesday. 

In an interview with Russian weekly Argumenty I Fakty, Patrushev said Belarus is Russia’s closest ally and strategic partner.

He also commented on the migrant crisis on Belarus’s border with Poland, which, in his opinion, has resulted from external pressure against Belarus. The transit of migrants through Belarus to Europe and from Poland’s border to Germany was planned, Patrushev said.
