Russia considers extending sanctions against EU

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday that Russia may extend its sanctions against the EU until next year.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday that Russia may extend its sanctions against the EU until next year. Medvedev's statement came one day after the EU extended its sanctions on Russia for another 6 months until the end of next January. The sanctions ban European companies from trading or investing in Russia's energy or defence industry or borrowing from or lending money to 5 major state-owned Russian banks for more than 30 days.
