Russia to vote on constitutional amendments on April 22

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday signed a decree, approving a nationwide vote on the constitutional amendments on April 22.

But he said that the vote would be postponed due to the worsening Covid-19 situation.

President Putin asked the Russian Central Election Commission to continue preparation for the voting, use all available instruments to organize the nationwide voting at the highest level, strictly observe law and apply advanced technologies.

He said he hoped Russian citizens would go to the polling stations to express their opinions about the amendments proposed.
