Russia, Turkey discuss Syria, energy, trade
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday praised the Syria peace talks in Kazakhstan and urged the Syrian government and rebels to cooperate constructively.
The leaders agreed that Syria must not become a battleground for the Israel-Iran conflict, and Syria's territorial integrity must be protected. President Erdogan said Syrian politics should not include groups tied to the People's Protection Units or terrorism.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant and TurkStream natural gas pipeline projects.
