-The flags of sports delegations participating the 31st Southeast Asian Games (Sea Games 31) will be hoisted on the morning of May 11 at My Dinh National Sports Complex in Hanoi. It’s customary at major regional, continental and world sports events that the flag raising ceremony is solemnly held to highlight the presence of participating countries, welcome sports delegations, and uplift the athletes’ competitive spirit.

Each country’s sports delegation to the ceremony includes 31 members, corresponding to the number 31 of Sea Games together with representatives of the 10 Southeast Asian embassies in Hanoi.
