Singapore PM to visit Vietnam

Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will pay an official visit to Vietnam next week. The visit, from Tuesday and Friday, is made at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Relations between the two countries began in the 1990s and developed into strategic partnership in 2013. Singapore is Vietnam's third largest foreign investor, with 1,600 project worth over 38 billion USD. Two-way trade has doubled over the past decade to hit nearly 16 billion USD last year.
