South Korea expects 2nd US-North Korea summit to promote peace
South Korea's Vice Defense Minister Suh Choo-suk said he believes the upcoming second US-North Korea summit will help build momentum for peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula.
At the Fullerton Forum in Singapore on Monday, Mr. Suh called for international diplomatic support for inter-Korean cooperation. He hailed the military agreements signed at the inter-Korean summit last year, calling it a step toward preventing military conflicts, reducing the threat of war, and building trust.
Suh is scheduled to hold separate meetings with officials from Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia to discuss defense cooperation.
