South Korean acting President calls on people to accept Park’s impeachment

South Korea's Prime Minister and acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn called on people on Friday to accept the constitutional court's decision to oust President Park Geun-Hye and end all conflict and standoff.

He also asked political parties in South Korea to restore national unity and move the country on after the most serious political scandal in South Korean history. Hwang promised his best to stabilize South Korea while calling on people to end demonstrations either to support or protest Ms. Park. A new President will be elected within 60 days, he added, but also warned that if national reconciliation is not achieved, the election, which is slated for May 9th, may happen with insecurity.

South Korea's opposition parties on Saturday urged former President Park to publicly accept the Constitutional Court's decision to dismiss her.
