Storm Lionrock heading to Vietnam’s north-central region

– A tropical depression has grown into storm, named Lionrock, in Vietnam’s waters and is expected to hit the country’s north-central coast Monday, VnExpress cited the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting. Under the storm’s influence, the seas and coastal areas in the north and central regions will see strong winds of up to 75 kph as well as waves that could go as high as four meters, the Vietnam forecasting center said.

Lionrock is the seventh storm that has entered the East Sea this year. Five to seven more storms are forecast to enter Vietnam’s waters in 2021.
