Super typhoon Lekima strikes twice in China

The China Meteorological Agency announced on Sunday that the second typhoon Lekima struck the coast of the Yellow Island district of Qingdao City, Shandong Province, with a wind speed of more than 80km /h.

Shandong authorities said all 26 dams in the province are open, causing the water in six rivers in the area to overflow. Heavy rains are also predicted to hit Shandong, Hebei, Liaoning, and Jilin province. Super typhoon Lekima has affected 6.5 million people, leaving 32 deaths. Lekima is China's 9th and strongest storm of the season.
