Syria’s President to visit North Korea
Syrian President Bashar AlAssad is planning to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
North Korea's state-run Korean Central News Agency reported that Mr. Assad told North Korea's new ambassador in Damascus last week that he intended to visit Pyongyang.
Assad said the world welcomes the latest developments on the Korean peninsula, adding that Kim will realize the reunification of the two Koreas. Syria will fully support all of North Korea's policies and measures and continue to strengthen bilateral friendship, he said.
