Thai government to meet political parties next week
Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wonsuwon said on Wednesday that the Thai government plans to hold talks with representatives of political parties early next week.
Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam, who is in charge of the government's legal affairs, will co-chair the meeting. Mr. Wonsuwon did not reveal the venue or exact date. The session will not address any security issues, but will discuss a plan to lift the ban on political activities so that parties can prepare for the general election slated for early next year.
