Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, an annual parade sponsored by the Macy’s department store chain, expects 3 million people to follow this year’s parade from New York City’s Upper West Side neighborhood to the Macy’s store in Herald Square.

A charity event in Los Angeles is delivering free meals this week to homeless and disadvantaged people. This has been an annual event preceding Thanksgiving for more than two decades. Each meal includes a traditional plate of roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, and collard greens.

54.6 million Americans are expected to travel during Thanksgiving week this year, according to travel insurance company AAA.
