The global coalition against IS commits long-term cooperation

Foreign Ministers and high-ranking representatives of more than 60 countries gathered in Washington for a summit of the coalition fighting the Islamic State.

They also discussed assistance for the resettlement in areas freed from IS in Iraq and Syria. The participants appreciated Iraq's government military for liberating 60% of its territory from IS and gained progress in retaking Mosul.

After the meeting, the coalition of 68 countries committed to provide 2 billion USD for activities to stabilize life and guarantee safety for people in liberated areas in Syria and Iraq.
