Tokyo to host Vietnam Festival 2017

Vietnam Festival 2017 will take place at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo on June 10 and 11.

At a press conference in Tokyo on Wednesday, Deputy Chief of Mission to Japan Nguyen Truong Son said the festival will feature more than 100 booths, including 60 food stalls. It is expected to draw some 150,000 visitors.

Son said the festival enhances mutual understanding and draws overseas Vietnamese in Japan closer together.

The annual event was first introduced in 2008 to promote Vietnamese culture to Japanese friends through art performances, food, and handicrafts.
