Trade deficit reaches US$1.21 billion in two months

VGP – Viet Nam faced a trade deficit of US$1.21 billion over the past two months of 2015, which accounted for 6.1% of the export turnover, according to the Viet Nam Customs.

The nation’s total export and import turnover attained more than US$22.97 billion and US$24.18 billion, up 8.4% and 21.9%, respectively.

In terms of exports, between February 16 and 28, Viet Nam earned US$2.16 billion, down 70.5% compared to the first half of the month.

Meanwhile, the nation’s import turnover in the first half of February obtained US$3.84 billion, down 39.3%.
