Trump confirms G7 Summit will be held in the US

US President Donald Trump on Thursday confirmed plans for a possible in-person summit of G7 leaders, saying the event will “primarily” take place at the White House and “there could be a piece of it at Camp David”, the presidential retreat in Maryland.

President Trump on Wednesday called on officials from the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan to come to the US. The Summit was initially planned to be online due to the novel coronavirus epidemic.
