Turkey vows to continue Syria operations despite Istanbul nightclub attack

Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister NumanKurtulmus said on Monday that Turkey will continue its operations against terrorists in Syria despite an attack on the Reina nightclub in Istanbul that claimed 39 lives.

Mr. Kurtulmus told reporters the attack was a message about Turkey's cross-border operations, particularly all the Euphrates Shield, the mission name of Turkey's campaign inside Syria. He said Turkey will carry on those operations with determination.

The Deputy Prime Minister said 8 suspects in the nightclub shooting have been arrested.

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack, which it said, was in response to Turkey's military intervention in Syria.
