Tuyen Quang province to host first national intangible cultural heritage festival
The first national intangible cultural heritage festival will coincide with the Tuyen Quang City Festival in Tuyen Quang province from September 20-23.
The heritage festival will be co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the provincial People's Committee to honor intangible heritages in Vietnam. The Tuyen Quang City Festival will introduce its land, people and cultural heritages to domestic and foreign visitors. It will include a photo and cultural artifacts exhibit and a seminar on preserving and promoting intangible cultural heritages in collaboration with tourism development.
By January this year, Vietnam boasted nearly 250 national intangible heritages encompassing traditional festival, folk performances, beliefs and literature.
