Two VN banks listed among top 500 brands

VGP – The Viet Nam Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Viet Nam (Vietcombank) have taken spots on the latest list of the world’s top 500 most valuable banking brands.

This year’s list, compiled by business consultancy Brand Finance in partnership with the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business Magazine, ranked Vietinbank 437th on the list, with a brand value of $197 million and a brand rating of A. The bank has a market cap of $2,474 million.

Meanwhile, Vietcombank was ranked 487th, with a brand value of $157 million and a brand rating of A+. It has a market cap of $3,742 million.
 
This is the third time VietinBank and the first time Vietcombank have been named among the world’s 500 most valuable banking brands.

The US Wells Fargo bank topped the list with brand value of more than $34 billion while ICBC from China ranked second with a value of $27.4 billion.
