The US is calling for more transparency from Russia and China regarding their nuclear programs, as diplomats from five permanent members of the UN Security Council met in Beijing on Wednesday.
The conference which discussed ways to prevent the further proliferation of nuclear weapons, convenes representatives from China, Russia, the US, the UK, and France.
US Undersecretary of State Andrea Thompson said in her opening remarks at the meeting that there have been uneven results in increasing transparency under the Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
