UN Secretary General praises Vietnam’s cooperation

Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, new Head of Vietnam's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, presented his credentials to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in New York on Thursday.

The UN chief lauded Vietnam's cooperation with the UN in many fields and vowed to continue supporting its efforts. He said that he hopes Vietnam will send more personnel to participate in the UN peacekeeping forces.

Ambassador Quy thanked the UN for its support and cooperation since Vietnam became a UN member and said Vietnam is striving to be an active and responsible member of the UN. He reiterated Vietnam's commitment to sending more personnel to peacekeeping forces and missions of the UN.
