UN warns of severe energy crisis in Gaza

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said Tuesday that emergency fuel to run generators for essential needs in Gaza, including healthcare, sanitation, and clean water, is nearly exhausted.

The Office said Gazans consume less than half their usual electricity supply, which is barely 4 hours a day. Officials said at least 60,000 liters of fuel are needed to maintain essential services for 4 days.
