US officials congratulated Vietnam on its successful hosting of the APEC Economic Leaders' Week and APEC Year 2017 and expressed their hope that bilateral ties will continue to prosper. US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel J. Kritenbrink said: I think the thing that impressed me the most is, if you look at the joint press conference between our two presidents on November 11th, you see the demonstration of the breath and depth of the US-Vietnam comprehensive partnership. And both of our presidents talked about the tremendous cooperation on a number of issues, including security, economy and trade, people and human relations, and dealing with legacy war issues. So the thing that impressed me the most is how broad and deep the cooperation is between our two countries
