US arrests three Chinese nationals for visa fraud

The US Department of Justice announced on Thursday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested three Chinese nationals for visa fraud and is seeking to arrest the fourth who is said to be in China’s San Francisco consulate.

According to the Department of Justice, the four Chinese had applied for research visas and have relationships with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

The FBI conducted interviews with visa holders suspected of having undeclared affiliation with the Chinese military in more than 25 American cities.

The Chinese Embassy has not yet commented on the arrest.
