US naval sailors visit Center for Disabled Children in Khanh Hoa

Crewmembers of the US Navy's hospital ship USNS Mercy visited the Hope Center for Disabled Children in Khanh Hoa province on Tuesday.

They taught the children who were born with birth defects how to draw a picture, and play football, and sing together. Nun Anna Tran Thi Ha in charge of the center, said: I'm happy looking at the children. The People's Committee on Cam Lam district and the Pacific Partnership program brought this happiness to the children here.

The visit was part of the Pacific Partnership Program 2018 which kicked off in Khanh Hoa province last Thursday, with the participation of the US Navy's logistic ship USNS Mercy and the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force JDS Osumi. The program also includes the UK, Canada, France, Australia, Sri Lanka, Chile, and Peru. This is the ninth time the Pacific Partnership program has come to Vietnam and the second consecutive time it has come to Khanh Hoa province.
