US President sets condition for government’s reopening
US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the US government shutdown will continue until Congress authorizes 5 billion USD to fund his long-promised border wall along the US border with Mexico.
The shutdown will affect the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and NASA. The Pentagon, the Department of Health, the FBI, border control, and the Coast Guard will continue to operate. 800,000 employees are temporarily furloughed or working without pay.
