US, UK, France warn of strikes in Syria

US National Security Advisor John Bolton said on Monday that Washington, along with the UK and France, will give a "stronger response" if Syria uses chemical weapons.

The warning came at a time the Syrian government forces were possibly planning an all-out attack in Idlib, the last stronghold of the insurgents in northwest Syria.

Russian ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov has told US officials that Russia is concerned about US signals of preparing new strikes on Syria, and warned the US not to engage in more baseless and unlawful aggression against Syria.
