US vows to eradicate ISIS in Iraq

US President Donald Trump vowed to eradicate "radical Islamic terrorism" during talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in Washington on Monday. Trump said a "vacuum" was created by the removal of US troops from Iraq and promised to continue supporting Iraq in the fight against ISIS.

Iraqi President al-Abadi said Iraq is looking forward to more cooperation with the US in defense, security, economics, and energy, now that they have signed a strategic partnership agreement. He highlighted the importance of relations between the US and Iraq, who are partnering to fight ISIS. Abadi added that it will take only a little more time to wipe ISIS fighters out of Mosul and then all of Iraq.
