Venezuela arrests opposition chief of staff

Venezuelan intelligence agents have arrested Roberto Marrero, opposition leader Juan Guaido's chief of staff, Venezuelan MPs said on Thursday.

Guaido said on Twitter the same day that Marrero was seized at his home in Caracas.

The Venezuelan government said Sunday that it will carry out a strong cabinet reform to protect Venezuela from opposition forces at home and abroad. Guaido, meanwhile, is visiting localities to ask Venezuelans to march to Caracas and pressure President Nicolas Maduro to resign.
