In Loc Thuy commune, Phu Loc district, Mr. Tran Van Huu, Chairman of Loc Thuy commune People's Committee said that in 2018, the commune supported 05 households in difficult circumstances to build houses to resist storms and floods. from GCF project; Currently, the commune is continuing to implement 11 households in 2019. The project has helped poor households, poor households have shelter during the storm and flood season; This is a local project that is very interested in and the departments and mass organizations have actively coordinated to complete the set objectives and plans.

One of the beneficiaries of the GCF project, Ms. Tran Thi Hiep (daughter of Tran Thi Cardo) residing in Thuy Yen Ha village, Loc Thuy commune, said that previously her house and mother lived near the river, so each When the typhoon and flood season comes, she must work very hard to evacuate and live in anxiety. Since the local government supported the construction of new houses, now she and her mother have been living in a clean, airy house, especially rest assured in the storm and flood season.

Sharing the same joy with Ms. Tran Thi Hiep, Ms. Tran Thi Em, residing in Loc Tien commune, shared that she used to be alone, so when she was in the rainy season, she was very worried. The support of the local government to build a flood-proof and flood-resistant house made her very satisfied and satisfied; At the same time, he expressed his excitement and thanked the local authorities and the state for supporting her to build a spacious and solid house.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong said, from the project "Strengthening resilience to the impacts of climate change for vulnerable coastal communities in Vietnam", people can mobilize low VND 65 million to build houses to withstand storms and floods. Currently, the whole province has 571 beneficiaries from the project; In which, in 2018, the whole province completed 135 houses, implemented in accordance with the plan.

In 2019, in order to implement the project according to the set schedule, the GCF PMU has closely followed the households and made specific plans for implementation. In particular, the PMU has advanced materials, discussed with households, villages and communes to implement households one by one to help people soon get a permanent house to withstand storms and floods in time. next.
