National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has been certified with the highest level 5-star COVID-19 airline safety rating. 

It’s the first airline in Vietnam and one of just nine airlines in the world to achieve this recognition.

The Skytrax COVID-19 Airline Safety Accreditation is a global benchmark for COVID-19 safe travel.

A COVID-19 safety audit was conducted by Skytrax in May and June 2021 to assess all safety and hygiene protocols introduced by Vietnam Airlines.

The rating takes into account cleanliness at the airport and onboard, social distancing, face mask usage, sanitizer, and other hygiene measures.

UK-based Skytrax is an international air transport rating organization.
