The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations on Wednesday inaugurated the Vietnam-Austria Friendship Association. Attending the inauguration ceremony were Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and Hans-Peter Glanzer, Ambassador of Austria to Vietnam, who pledged to support the Association’s upcoming activities.
35 people were elected to the Association’s Central Committee for the first term (2022-2027), and Tran Tuan Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, will serve as the Association’s president.
“Vietnam-Austria cooperation was established 50 years ago. The birth of the Vietnam-Austria Friendship Association was a milestone in the cooperative relationship between the two countries. The Association’s focus is to strengthen cooperation in science, technology, culture, education and training as well as mutual economic development. The Association will develop an annual plan or a five-year plan to realize its goals,” Anh said.
