– President Nguyen Xuan Phuc urged greater efforts to bring trade between Vietnam and Brunei to 500 million USD by 2025.

President Phuc made the call while receiving outgoing Brunei Ambassador to Vietnam Pengiran Haji Sahari bin Pengiran Haji Salleh on Tuesday.

Mr. Phuc asked Brunei to create more favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses operating in the country and provide more scholarships for Vietnamese students.

He said the 2 countries should continue to closely cooperate at international forums including ASEAN, the UN and APEC, and maintain peace security, and stability in the East Sea (known internationally as the South China Sea).
