Vietnam Composers’ Association celebrates 60th anniversary

Generations of Vietnamese musicians gathered in Hanoi on Sunday to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam Composers' Association.

On behalf of the Government, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam reviewed the Association's journey with the revolution over the past 6 decades.

Vietnamese composers have been closely associated with the cause of national construction and defense to create immortal works. 8 of Vietnam's 12 intangible cultural heritages of humanity recognized by UNESCO are related to music, Mr. Dam said.
