Vietnam, France intensify cooperation in transportation infrastructure development

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh highlighted progress in the metro rail project in Hanoi, which uses French Official Development Assistance, and described it as a typical cooperation project between the two countries.

At Monday's reception for Alain Vidalies, French Secretary of State for Transport, Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Mr. Minh said Vietnam attaches importance to its ties with France and wants to strengthen the Vietnam-France strategic partnership in all aspects, towards a long-term vision. The Prime Minister applauded France's policy of boosting economic cooperation with Vietnam, saying that France is a major European investor and trade partner of Vietnam.
