The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on Monday announced resolutions on the establishment of the Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians Organization, the Young Parliamentarians Group, and the Group of Female NA Deputies.

NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said the Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians Organization and 45 friendship parliamentarians groups play an important role in promoting cooperation between the National Assembly of Vietnam and parliaments of other countries, establishing the position of the Vietnamese legislature in the world of parliamentary diplomacy.

They help promote friendship and cooperation as well as enhancing understanding and trust between Vietnam and other countries, he said.

Mr. Hue said the Young Parliamentarians Group and the Group of Female NA Deputies are forums for female and young NA deputies to exchange and share experience in NA activities, especially in areas related to gender equality and policies for young people.
