Vietnam hands over POW/MIA artifact to US

The Vietnam Office for Seeking Missing Persons (VNOSMP) has delivered a prisoner-of-war/missing-in-action (POW/MIA)-related museum artifact to the US Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA).

The hand-over ceremony took place in Hanoi on Thursday following a meeting between Brigadier General Mark Spindler, the agency's Deputy Director, and Ambassador Le Thanh Tung, Director of the Vietnamese office.

Mr. Spindler thanked the Vietnamese office for its commitment, dedication, and support of the combined efforts to achieve the fullest possible accounting for US personnel lost during the war. He said he hopes cooperation between the two agencies will continue to grow.
