Vietnam-Italy legislative ties strengthened

A Vietnamese delegation led by Phan Thanh Binh, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children, is now on a visit to Italy from November 29 to December 3rd.

During the visit, the Vietnamese delegates had working sessions with Marina Sereni, Vice President of Italy's Lower House of Parliament, Pier Ferdinando Casini, Chairman of the Italian Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, and Flavia Piccoli Nardelli, Lower House Culture Committee Deputy Chair.

Mr. Phan Thanh Binh noted that the visit aims to strengthen friendship, external relations and legislative ties between the two countries, and to learn from Italy's policies and laws in legislation and supervision.

The Italian side hailed its bilateral cooperation with Vietnam, especially after the two countries signed the strategic partnership agreement in 2013, calling for enhanced bilateral cooperation and more exchanges of working visits between the two countries' leaders.
