Vietnam-Japan ties develop in comprehensive and effective manner

Vietnamese ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong said Vietnam-Japan ties saw great developments last year, especially in economics.

In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Tokyo on the occasion of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's visit to Vietnam, ambassador Cuong said Vietnam-Japan cooperation has been fostered, especially in science, technology, human resource development, education and training.

Mr. Cuong said Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's visit opens a promising year for the relations between the two countries. Mr. Abe is expected to discuss with Vietnamese senior officials on ways to boost bilateral ties in the changing global and regional context.

After Mr. Abe's visit, Vietnam will welcome 100 Japan's leading businesses who come to seek business opportunities in Vietnam.
