Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City establishes Center for Infectious Diseases Study

The Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City has established the Center for Infectious Diseases Research under the International University (one of its affiliates). 

The establishment of the Center meets the emergency of the current epidemic situation in Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, especially the global COVID-19 pandemic.

In the next 5 years, the Center will focus on pandemic containment and studying testing and diagnostic kits, vaccines, COVID-19 variants, and treatment. In the long-term it will study infectious diseases in Southeast Asia.
