– The Vietnam Environment Administration and Nestlé Vietnam on Wednesday announced a cooperative agreement on raising public awareness of environmental protection and sustainable management of packaging. The agreement intends to encourage businesses and other stakeholders to take responsibility for environmental initiatives and models of circular economy and waste recycling and reuse. It specifically encourages a closed loop of packaging management, from design and production using environment-friendly materials to packaging collection, recycling, and reuse.

Nestlé Vietnam CEO Binu Jacob said climate change response is a priority of Nestlé’s environment campaign. The group aims to switch completely to recyclable and reusable product containers by 2025 when it will have reduced its plastic use by one-third.
