Vietnam releases National Action Plan to realize SDGs

The Prime Minister has issued a National Action Plan to implement the Agenda 2030 on sustainable development.

The plan intends to maintain sustainable economic growth while ensuring social equality and progress, protecting the environment, efficiently managing and utilizing resources, and proactively responding to climate change. It will also assure that everyone brings into play their potential to participate and benefit from development achievements.

To achieve all the 17 SDGs by 2030, Vietnam plans to fine-tune institutions for sustainable development from now until 2020, and accomplish the building of Action Plans to realize SDGs among ministries, sectors, and localities by 2018. Vietnam will also implement communications and educational activities to raise social awareness of SDGs and human resource development.
