Vietnam to invest more in science and technology

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has promised greater investment in personnel and infrastructure in the science and technology sector. His pledge was made on Monday during a visit to FPT University and the opening ceremony of the software village F-Ville at Hoa Lac High-tech Industrial Park in Hanoi.

Dam stressed the importance of information technology to Vietnam's development and the start-up movement. He recommended that the sector grasp development opportunities and promote new research, management, and policies. The Deputy Prime Minister said high-tech areas like F-Ville are vital to involving Vietnam in the 4th industrial revolution. Vietnam needs 1 million IT workers in the coming years.
