Vietnam-US relations thrive in all fields

(VOVWORLD) – The Vietnam-US Comprehensive Partnership continues to grow strongly, bringing practical benefits to the two countries and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in Asia-Pacific and the world, said Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh and US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan on Thursday.

The two agreed to enhance cooperation in high-level exchanges, resolving war consequences, technology, education, and climate change.

They agreed to increase collaboration in international forums, including the UN Security Council, to address shared challenges.

Both voiced support for ASEAN, maritime freedom, and settlement of disputes in the East Sea (known internationally as the South China Sea) on the basis of international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
