Vietnam, US step up collaboration in addressing war legacy

The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been working on the aftermath of chemical toxins use with the US government and international agencies.

Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said at a meeting on Monday to evaluate 3 years of Party leadership in addressing the consequences of US chemical toxins in Vietnam that the Foreign Ministry will focus on making the US recognize its responsibility to help victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin. Since 2016, the US has given Vietnam 110 million USD in joint projects to remediate dioxin at the Da Nang Airport.
