Vietnam wants to boost economic and trade ties with Iran

Vietnam and Iran need to continue the exchange of visits at all levels to strengthen diplomatic ties and achieve their trade target of 2 billion USD by 2020, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said at a reception in Hanoi Wednesday for Iranian Ambassador to Vietnam Saleh Adibi.

Mr. Phuc called for close coordination to create a better payment mechanism for the two business communities. He said he also hopes for closer cooperation with Iran in agriculture, oil, and gas.

Ambassador Saleh Adibi said Iran is keen on working with Vietnam in banking and will establish a joint committee to boost this link. He also urged closer collaboration in tourism, science, technology, and agriculture.
