Vietnamese abroad celebrate Lunar New Year
200 Vietnamese gathered at the Vietnam House in Washington, DC, to celebrate Tet, Vietnam's traditional Lunar New Year.
Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Ha Kim Ngoc congratulated the Vietnamese community on the holiday and said the US-Vietnam Comprehensive Partnership has made profound progress, promising even better development this year.
The Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Vientiane, Laos, held a ceremony on Sunday to welcome the Lunar New Year. Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung praised the contribution of overseas Vietnamese to Vietnam's national development in past years and called for further efforts to promote Vietnam-Laos relations.
