Vietnamese Ambassador to Cyprus presents credentials

Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy and the Republic of Cyprus Cao Chinh Thien suggested Vietnam and Cyprus negotiate the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Vietnamese laborers in Cyprus.

Such an agreement would ensure the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese workers and help them integrate into their host community. The ambassador made the proposal at a meeting with Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiasdes following his presentation of credentials to the leader in Nicosia on Tuesday. Thien informed his host about achievements Vietnam has recorded in socio-economic development and international integration recently as well as its current targets and development strategies.

President Anastasiasdes applauded Vietnam's achievements and the deepening of the traditional friendship and multi-faceted collaboration between the two countries over the past four decades.
