Vietnamese history, culture, landscapes, and people were introduced at the just concluded Diplomatic Fun Fair 2022 in Pretoria, South Africa. This was an annual event held by the Department of International Relations and Cooperation at the Presidential Palace Park in Pretoria, where visitors watched photos featuring Vietnamese people, landscapes, and traditional handicrafts, tried on Ao Dai (long dress) and conical hat, and tasted Vietnamese spring rolls and coffee.

First held in 2006, the Diplomatic Fun Fair has brought together embassies accredited to South Africa to showcase and promote cultural diplomacy through creative expressions, such as arts, music, dance and global cuisine.

After a two-year COVID-19 hiatus, this year’s Fair attracted the participation of 60 diplomatic corps and international organizations.
